Though originally written in English, “La Memoire Fautif” was “commissioned” and published by the poet Eric Suchère for his publication LITTLE SINGLE. I wrote it during my stay at the Calder Foundation in Saché in 2004. It was a period of transition in my work and somehow that provided me with a suitable pretext to both look back at my previous work, and articulate ideas that have remained with me and given me a context for the present. “La Memoire Fautif” essay in English |
