SCULPTURES

resins

I began working with polyester resin in 1990 when I started making pieces whose shapes were often biomorphic, evocative without being easily identifiable, and unsettlingly playful. The aluminum casts I had made before seemed too pure and burdened with history, while plastic was lighter, fresher and more toxic. More to the point I could work in color with all its evocative power.
