SCULPTURES
Saché
In 2004 I was invited by the invitation of the Calder Foundation to live and work for six months in Alexander Calder’s studio in Saché, France.
I tend to isolate this body of work from both what precedes it, the works in resin and the works following, which I loosely call the wire pieces. It was a watershed moment of sorts, the end of working with plastic and references to the body and the start of working more conceptually and spatially with entirely new materials.
